Chilled air is circulated throughout the chamber by energy efficient fans to maintain the temperature at 4°C, ±1°C, when measured in liquid at the sensor.

Single-door models are capable of maintaining 2-8°C throughout the chamber, making these chambers an affordable option for vaccine storage.
